Previously Asked Questions: Q: I had pocket 3's in the small blind and called a preflop raise of $25 in a 100 max NL game. Five other players called, and I hit my set when the flop came out, but there was a flush and straight draw on the board. Because of this I went all in immediately and everyone instantly folded. Was this a bad move? Should I have tried to trapped my opponents? -Evan A: (bukecash) Evan, you did the correct play. With 5 players calling a $25 preflop raise in a 100 max game, it was well worth it to take the pot down right away, especially with all those draws on the board. Winning a decent sized pot is much much much better than losing a HUGE pot. What would you have done if a draw came out and you got raised on the turn? You would be setting yourself up for a disaster. Personally, the only thing you could have changed is a check raise on the flop, but you would be running the risk of giving up a free card if everyone checks. Q: I had AQ suited and called a preflop raise of $15 in a $1/2 No Limit game at a local club in my area. Everyone folded except for myself and the raiser, who happened to be the tightest player at the table. The flop came KKQ, and the raiser bet hard ($60) into me. I thought about it and called. The turn came out a 2 and the raiser went all in. I thought about it for a few minutes and ended up folding. He mucked his hand but claimed he had AK. What would you have done in that situation? -stackchee123 A: (bukecash) Stackchee123, Although I do not know enough information about your opponent, it seems to me that you played the hand completely wrong. First off, flopping trips in heads up with top kicker is an absolute monster, and 99% of people in a normal poker game will do some type of slow play. With this being said, I think for someone to bet that hard with that strong of a hand is not believable, meaning he did not have AK. Still, you should have made your move on the flop. You have to decide right there whether you are going to spend the money to figure out if your hand is best. Calling is the worst thing you can do in poker, unless you have the nuts and are slow playing. Although he bet rather large, you need to raise him on the flop to see where you are at. By selecting not to raise, you never gave your opponent a true test to see whether he had the hand he claims he did. Q: What site do you guys play online? A: We play a several sites, often at the same time. Our primary sites are FullTilt, PokerStars, and Bodog. Q: What are your user names on the sites? A: We actually have several different accounts with different user names. We do this on purpose to throw some people off. Q: Why do you refer to the yourselves by aliases? A: In order to protect our identities, aliases are used. If you go to the casino enough, you will figure out who we are
